International Day of Remembrance in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust

On January 27, 1945, a group of more than 2,000 Jews were liberated from the largest German Nazi concentration and extermination camp: Auschwitz-Birkenau. Thousands of victims died between 1940 and 1945 in a cruel and savage persecution.

▪️The extermination of European Jews by the Nazis ended with the defeat of Germany in World War II on May 9, 1945, and those most responsible for this Holocaust were tried and convicted.
