  1. Role-Play: Imagine a conversation between a mother and a child. Talk about a problem and try to find a solution. Use phrases like: “I need your help with…” or “I understand, but I feel…”

Sample dialogues

  1. Sample 1:

    • Child: “Mom, I don’t want to go to my stepmother’s birthday party.”

    • Mother: “I understand, but it’s important to be polite. How about we go for one hour?”

    • Child: “Okay, I can try that.”

    Sample 2:

    • Stepmom: “I want to help you with your homework. Can I?”

    • Child: “I don’t know… I am used to doing it alone.”

    • Stepmom: “That’s fine. Let’s try together for a few minutes.”

    Guess the Emotion: After watching a scene, say what emotion the characters are feeling and why. Example: “I want you to be happy, even if I’m not here.” → Sad / Loving / Caring

Writing Task – Practice Your English
