Qué son los verbos modales?

·             Los verbos modales son verbos auxiliares que no pueden funcionar como un verbo principal. Expresan modalidad, habilidad, posibilidad, necesidad u otra condición.

·             Como verbos complementarios que son, los modales funcionan CON otro verbo. Ese otro verbo siempre va después del verbo modal y debe ir en infinitivo sin “to”.

·             Los verbos modales NO se conjugan y NO tienen tiempo.

Cómo debes usarlos? Cómo debes armar las oraciones cuando usas un verbo modal?

Affirmative sentences:

Subject + modal verb + main verb in the infinitive form

Negative sentences:

Subject + modal verb in the negative form + main verb in the infinitive form
